My name is Kenani Zulu and I was born on the 20th October 1978 in Kitwe’s Buchi compound. I am the 6th born of 8 children, 6 girls and 2 boys.
We moved to Lusaka in 1994 where I did my grade 8 to 9 at Jacaranda basic school and grades 10 to 12 at Munali Secondary School.
During my school days I studied art, and found that I enjoyed Sculpting with clay. I made sculpting my career and have explored many different sculpting mediums.
My designs are unique. I get inspiration from nature and technology and combine this to make natural looking water features such as fountains, fish ponds and swimming pools.
In 2003 I went to Cape Town to learn more about bronze casting at UCT, but ended up working to make money. It wasn’t easy getting big commission /contracts being a foreigner, so i decided to come back to Zambia to establish my sculpting business.
I met and married Lydia Palata in 2006 and we have 3 children together.
I did a lot of promo work free of charge as a way of training and show casing my talent to potential clients. This helped me to get my business rolling.

I am currently working on massive promotion works in DRC
Some clients have also challenged and inspired me with their dreams and ideas of water sculptures. They have all been very happy with the results, most saying that I have delivered beyond their expectations
